Speaker Program starts at 12:30

Member's only meetings:  September, December & June.  Note: No meetings are held in July or August.



Ashland Garden Club Community Service Projects:

AWARD two scholarships:
$1,000 Scholarship for an Ashland High School Senior, Walker Family Memorial Fund
$1,500 Scholarship for a Southern Oregon University Junior in Environmental Sciences or Studies

PRODUCE an Annual Spring Plant Sale in Ashland ~ helps fund the SOU Scholarship.

SELECT & PRESENT AGC Garden of the Month Award to Ashland community residential & non~residential gardens

CONDUCT garden workshops and field trips to enhance member participation and education

PLANT annuals in Lithia Park ~~ Community Partnering with Ashland Parks and Recreation


PROVIDE flowers and decorate the Veterans Chapel at the So. Oregon Rehab Services Center, Community Partnering with Siskiyou District

DECORATE tables for the Feast of Will in Lithia Park ~~ Community Partnering with Ashland Lions Club


ASSEMBLE cedar~garlands for Holiday decorating the Ashland Community Center and Pioneer Hall ~~ Community Partnering with Ashland Parks

DESIGN, PLANT & MAINTAIN the Heirloom Gardens at the North Mountain Park Nature Center ~~ Community Partnering with Ashland Parks & Recreation

PURCHASE Memorial Bricks for North Mountain Park Nature Center as remembrance for members or non~members who have donated significant service to AGC


HONOR MEMBERS by contributing to the National Garden Club and the Oregon State Claire Hanley Scholarship Funds through National and State Life Membership presentations

PUBLISH a monthly e~newsletter, Garden Clippings, and an annual membership directory
 

AGC FUNDRAISING INCLUDES:

PRODUCE an Annual Spring Plant Sale. Proceeds fund SOU scholarship for a Junior in Environmental Sciences or Studies

COLLECT cash donations from members for Penny Pines, a Oregon National Re-forestation  project.

CREATE wreaths, baskets and holiday greens for sale at the December Holiday Potluck
